More Leopards!

A good while ago we sent young Shaun up with Jeremy Bolton from BushCam Safaris to set up a bunch of new (better) camera traps in the hope of catching footage of these elusive leopards in the Baviaanskloof valley. They have been sitting there for over a month and we retrieved the footage last week when we returned…check what we got:

Now I’m not sure if this is Felicity’s boyfriend, or a new male, but he’s a big boy and by the look on his face, he’s definitely horny! So fingers crossed that he is the soon-to-be father of Felicity’s cubs! One of the great things about these camera traps is that you can capture completely natural footage of animals behaving as they would which is just impossible to do when people are present. Look at all the animals we saw:

There is so much life out there that we don’t even know about and it belongs to all of us, but by that same token, it is our responsibility to protect them.
